Communications Center Goals
Effective January 1, 2007

PURPOSE
To promote excellence in overall performance of job duties and customer service by motivating employees to excel in their position. 

FOCUS ON ATTAINMENT OF COMMUNICATIONS CENTER GOALS

  1. Answer 911 phone lines within 4 seconds 75% of the time.

  2. Enter initial information in CAD and dispatch all calls for service within 120 seconds of call receipt. 

  3. Maintain thorough and accurate CAD documentation that correlates with radio and telephone transmissions.

  4. Consistently enter information into VCIN / NCIC without error and return information to requesting officers within 120 seconds of each request.

  5. Exemplify exemplary customer service and professionalism when interacting with citizens, coworkers, and volunteers in the center, on the radio, and on the telephone. 

  6. Consistently enter information into VCIN / NCIC without error and use the proper format.

  7. Support Communications Center goal of continuing education and broadening knowledge of the discipline by attending professional development workshops and/or conferences.
