ENGINE 8
Engine 8 is a 1998 Pierce Freightliner that seats six firemen. It has a 1000 gallon tank and a 1000 gpm Hale Single Stage pump. Additionally, it houses five Hi-Pressure Scott SCBAs.


ENGINE 82
Engine 82 is a 1979 Mack Limited that seats four., IT has a 1000 gallon tank along with a 1250 Waterous Two Stage pump. It also has four Hi-Pressure Scott SCBAs

 

TANKER 8
Tanker 8 in a 2007 KME 7600 International that seats two. It sports a 3000 gallon tank with a 1500 gpm Hale Single Stage pump. Additional equipment includes a 3000 gallon portable tank, two Hi Pressure Scott SCBAs, and a 10" Newton Quick Dump.

 

TANKER 82
Tanker 82 is a 1986 EEI GMC two seater. It has a 3000 gallon tank and a 1500 gpm Hale Single Stage pump. Additional equipment includes a 1000 gallon portable tank and one Hi Pressure Scott SCBA.


BRUSH 8
Brunsh 8 is a 1977 Chevrolet 4WD two seater. It has a 200 gallon Defender Skid unit and a CET Model MR 18cc Honda Pump.

 

CRASH 8
Crash 8 is a 1987 Ford F350. Equipment includes: two Hurst Spreaders, Hurst Cutter, a 23" & 36" Hurst Ram, hydraulic jack, and cribbing

 

HISTORY
The Ebony Volunteer Fire Department began on the second Wednesday in January of 1959. The organizational meeting was held in the lunch room of the Old Ebony School. Sheriff William E. Hill was present to assist in the organizational proce­dures along with Jack Farr and Donald Reagel. The organization was established as the "Ebony Civil Defense Fire Department." Twenty-four community members were present forming the charter members of the department.   more
